Future Aviation Forum in Riyadh attracts global aviation leaders

Over 5,000 aviation industry experts, airline leaders, and airport executives are set to meet in Riyadh from May 20 to 22 for the Future Aviation Forum. This event, organized by the General Authority of Civil Aviation, aims to address challenges in the aviation sector and discuss topics such as global flight issues, air transport, and environmental sustainability.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has ambitious plans to become a key player in the aviation industry by attracting $100 billion in investments by 2030. The forum serves as a platform to advance national strategic objectives, positioning Saudi Arabia as a leading logistical center in the Middle East.

During the inaugural edition in 2022, representatives from 60 countries participated in the forum, resulting in the signing of 52 agreements and 116 bilateral meetings. Notable outcomes included the establishment of crucial policies, partnerships between government and private sectors, and the signing of deals worth $2.7 billion.

Key highlights of the event included the adoption of the Riyadh Aviation Declaration, which outlines principles for innovation, sustainability, and growth in global aviation. Signatories committed to enhancing regulations, supporting recovery efforts, investing in innovation, and prioritizing customer needs.
