HKBN and AXA collaborate to increase awareness of home insurance benefits, debunk misconceptions, and provide comprehensive protection for homeowners in Hong Kong.

A recent survey conducted by HKBN revealed that only 32% of respondents have purchased home insurance. The main reason cited for not having coverage is the misconception of low risk, with 36% of respondents believing they don't need it. Other misconceptions include thinking home insurance is only for valuable items (25%), assuming property owner's insurance covers them (26%), or confusing it with fire insurance (11%).

To address these misconceptions, HKBN has partnered with AXA to enhance awareness and understanding of home insurance benefits. Water damage emerged as the most common claim incident, with pipe leaks, bursts, and rainstorms causing over 50% of claims. The collaboration aims to educate homeowners on the importance of home insurance and effective risk management.

As part of the collaboration, HKBN customers can enjoy rewards for purchasing a home insurance plan until May 31, 2024. AXA Hong Kong and Macau, a member of the AXA Group, emphasizes the importance of protecting what matters and offers integrated solutions across Life, Health, and General Insurance.

Both companies are committed to innovation, customer experience, and sustainability. HKBN's core purpose is to 'Make our Home a Better Place to Live,' while AXA focuses on climate strategy, biodiversity commitment, and mental health awareness. The collaboration aims to provide comprehensive protection and holistic support to individuals, businesses, and the community.

The partnership between HKBN and AXA signifies a step towards increasing awareness about the importance of home insurance and effective risk management. By offering comprehensive insurance solutions and rewards to customers, the collaboration aims to create a safer and more secure environment for homeowners in Hong Kong.
