The recent Africa Day ceremony organized by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) shed light on the promising prospects for economic and trade expansion between Pakistan and African nations. The event, graced by dignitaries and diplomats, emphasized Pakistan's commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships with Africa.

During the ceremony, Additional Foreign Secretary Shehryar Akbar Khan celebrated Africa's diverse cultures and unwavering resilience. Pakistan's Engage Africa Policy, initiated in 2019 with the establishment of new diplomatic missions, underscores the country's proactive approach towards enhancing engagements with the African continent.

Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed and ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari highlighted the vast opportunities for economic collaborations between Pakistan and Africa, citing historical support and the potential for mutual growth. The Ambassador of Morocco and other African diplomats stressed the importance of cooperation in addressing global challenges such as climate change, food security, and sustainable development.
