Karachi Port Trust handles significant cargo volume in 24 hours

Karachi Port Trust (KPT) has reported the movements of ships at the port during the last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total cargo handled at Karachi Port closed at 166,246 Metric Tons during this period.

The breakdown of the cargo handling reveals that the port managed 79,692 Metric Tons of export cargo and 86,554 Metric Tons of import cargo. This indicates a significant volume of trade activity passing through Karachi Port, showcasing its importance as a key maritime hub in the region.

With such substantial quantities of cargo being processed, Karachi Port continues to play a crucial role in facilitating international trade and commerce. The efficient handling of both export and import cargo underscores the port's capabilities in managing diverse types of shipments.
