The Federal Government, led by Minister Tarar, announces a reduction in power tariffs as a special Eid gift. Efforts to combat inflation, stabilize the exchange rate, and crack down on electricity theft are highlighted, with positive economic indicators signaling a promising outlook for Pakistan's economy.

The Federal Government has announced a reduction in power tariffs for consumers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, described this reduction as a special gift from the government to the consumers. Tarar highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, efforts are being made to combat inflation in Pakistan. He noted a significant decrease of Rs 3.82 in power tariffs in April compared to the previous month, attributing this reduction to the stabilization of the rupee against the dollar.

Tarar emphasized that the government's policies have not only stabilized the exchange rate but also rescued the country from default. He expressed optimism that if current conditions persist, further reductions in electricity tariffs can be expected in the future. The minister pointed out that international financial journals, including Bloomberg, have recognized a decline in inflation in Pakistan, with predictions of further decreases in the coming year. Positive economic indicators are emerging, indicating a promising outlook for the country's economy.

In response to concerns about electricity theft, Tarar assured that the government is implementing measures to crack down on offenders engaged in electricity pilfering. With a focus on curbing such illegal activities, the government aims to ensure fair distribution of electricity resources and combat energy theft effectively.
