The Parks and Horticulture Authority in Lahore, under Director Wattoo's leadership, achieves record revenue growth, implements innovative initiatives, and expands into sports, arts, and a botanical garden project, enhancing public spaces and cultural experiences.

The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) in Lahore has made remarkable progress in boosting its revenue, reaching an impressive Rs 2.35 billion in the latest financial year. This substantial increase from Rs 1.60 billion in the previous fiscal year showcases the effective strategies implemented by PHA Director General Muhammad Tahir Wattoo.

Under Wattoo's guidance, the department not only surpassed its revenue target of Rs 2.32 billion but also diversified its revenue streams through innovative initiatives. These initiatives include digital streamers, LED advertisement screens, and revised fees for commercial activities. The marketing directorate, particularly focusing on outdoor advertisements, played a pivotal role in contributing over 60% of the total income.

Wattoo highlighted the significance of this revenue surge in enabling PHA to expand its operations, improve environmental sustainability, and reduce reliance on government funding. The department's expansion into sports and arts, with events like tent pegging championships and the establishment of an art gallery, demonstrates a commitment to enhancing public engagement and cultural enrichment.

Moreover, PHA's upcoming project to develop a botanical garden in Murree is set to offer a unique experience to visitors. Featuring attractions such as Japanese Sakura gardens, a giant water lily pond, and a Wisteria tunnel, this initiative aims to provide recreational amenities like play areas, zip lines, and a glow-in-the-dark garden, catering to a diverse audience.

The Parks and Horticulture Authority in Lahore's remarkable revenue growth and innovative projects not only signify financial success but also underline a dedication to enhancing public spaces and cultural experiences for the community. With a focus on sustainability and creativity, PHA continues to set new benchmarks in urban development and environmental conservation.
