The Pakistan Stock Exchange saw a positive trend with the 100-Index gaining 132.79 points. Nestle Pakistan led gains while Service Industries Limited faced a significant share price decrease.

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) experienced a positive trend on Wednesday, with the 100-Index gaining 132.79 points and closing at 74,663.98 points, reflecting a 0.18% increase from the previous trading day. The trading activity was robust, with 572,420,772 shares worth Rs 25.947 billion exchanged, indicating a significant uptick compared to the previous day.

During the trading session, a total of 382 companies participated in the stock market. Among them, 148 companies saw gains, 213 faced losses, and 21 maintained their prices unchanged. The top three trading companies were The State Company, Hum Network, and World Call Telecom.

Notably, Nestle Pakistan Limited witnessed the highest increase in share price, closing at Rs 7,380 with a gain of Rs 73.42 per share. Ismail Industries Limited followed closely with a rise of Rs 59.21 per share, closing at Rs 1,444.78. Conversely, Service Industries Limited recorded the most significant decrease, closing at Rs 784.77 with a loss of Rs 48.88 per share, while Hallmark Company Limited saw a decline of Rs 46.05 per share, closing at Rs 567.89.
