The Deputy Commissioner of Sialkot and the Chamber of Commerce collaborate to address civic issues, including road repairs and security enhancements, aiming to improve the city's infrastructure and livability.

In a recent meeting held at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Deputy Commissioner of Sialkot, in collaboration with the Chamber's President, emphasized the pressing need to tackle various civic issues affecting the city.

The Deputy Commissioner highlighted concerns such as deteriorating road conditions, heavy traffic congestion, and encroachment problems. He assured the implementation of proactive measures to address these issues by utilizing available resources and stressed the significance of community involvement in the process.

Specific plans were discussed to repair crucial roads in Sialkot, including the Gondal-Saidpur road, Sublime Chowk to Gohadpur stretch, and Chowk Kotli Behram to Gohadpur route. Additionally, efforts will be made to resolve issues on Khadim Ali road, Defence road, Kashmir road, Commissioner road, Muzaffarpur Railway Crossing, and other key areas of the city.

Recognizing the importance of communal engagement, the Deputy Commissioner sought support from the Chamber for effective problem-solving. He proposed initiatives like the 'safe city project' aimed at enhancing security through CCTV installations and suggested collaborative ventures for infrastructure development, such as sports stadiums.

Furthermore, plans were shared to renovate the Anwaar Club Auditorium with the backing of the local business community. The Deputy Commissioner pledged to strengthen ties with the Chamber to address civic issues effectively and commended Sialkot's reputation as a center for export-based small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The President of the Chamber affirmed full support and cooperation, with senior members pledging contributions during the meeting.

The collaborative efforts between the Sialkot administration and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reflect a commitment to improving the city's infrastructure and addressing pressing civic concerns. With a focus on community participation and proactive measures, Sialkot aims to enhance its livability and maintain its status as a thriving hub for SMEs.
