The recent Certificate of Entitlement (COE) bidding exercise in Singapore showcased a varied trend in premiums for different vehicle categories. Category A car premiums, designed for smaller vehicles, closed at S$90,889, marking an increase from the previous exercise. Meanwhile, premiums for Category B cars, which cater to larger and more powerful vehicles, rose to S$102,334. Commercial vehicle COEs decreased to S$69,900, while motorcycle premiums saw an increase to S$9,002. Open category COEs, known for their versatility but mainly used for large cars, experienced a decrease to S$100,000.

The bidding exercise attracted 3,661 bids for the available 2,551 COEs. The total COE quota for the May to July period expanded by 2.7% compared to the previous quarter, with increased quotas for Category A, Category B, and Category E vehicles. Category C also received a boost in COE supply, while the quota for Category D motorcycles remained unchanged.
