Venture Global Launches Eco-Friendly LNG Vessel

Venture Global, a prominent player in the LNG industry, recently celebrated the successful launch of its first LNG vessel, the Venture Gator. The ceremony took place at the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in Geoji-si, South Korea. This event marks the commencement of a project involving the construction of nine LNG carriers across three shipyards in South Korea over the next two years. These vessels are crucial for transporting LNG from the U.S. to various destinations worldwide.

The Venture Gator, alongside its sister ships, will feature state-of-the-art environmental and efficiency technologies. These ships will predominantly operate on Venture Global's liquefied natural gas and are scheduled to begin serving partners in Europe and Asia starting this fall.

Mike Sabel, the CEO of Venture Global, expressed his pride in the launch of the Venture Gator and highlighted the company's dedication to bolstering LNG supply to Europe. The fleet's advanced design elements, including onboard reliquefication, air-lubrication systems, auxiliary shaft generator, and exhaust gas recirculation systems, position Venture Global as a frontrunner in eco-friendly LNG transportation.

As a provider of U.S. LNG sourced from North American natural gas basins, Venture Global aims to offer sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions. The company's Calcasieu Pass facility has already commenced LNG production, with plans for expanding production capacity in Louisiana. Additionally, Venture Global is actively engaged in Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) projects at all its LNG facilities.
