Jazan Winter Festival: 300 Events to Celebrate Local Culture

The Jazan Winter Festival is set to be a spectacular event, captivating audiences with an impressive lineup of 300 events. This festival, which is under the esteemed patronage of Jazan Governor Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, promises to be a highlight of the winter season in the region. With the support of the local secretariat and various government agencies, the festival aims to showcase the rich culture and vibrant community of Jazan.

General supervisor Yahya bin Jaber Al-Ghazwani announced that the festival will span 90 days, featuring activities at 42 different locations throughout Jazan city and its surrounding governorates. This extensive program includes a variety of events such as an international book fair, a craft bus, the Saudi international coffee festival, and the Jazan international festival for performing arts. Additionally, attendees can look forward to concerts, cultural events, forums, poetry evenings, sports activities, and events at parks and heritage sites.

To kick off the festivities, a stunning display took place on Thursday at Jazan’s North Corniche, where over 3,000 colorful balloons were released into the sky. This breathtaking spectacle drew hundreds of residents, visitors, and volunteers, all of whom were enchanted by the artistic formations created by the illuminated balloons. The launch not only marked the beginning of the winter festival but also set a joyful tone for the season ahead.
