The accused, identified as Sufyan Ali, was responsible for the killing of Khawaja Sara Usman, also known as Piya, in Kamonki in 2020. After committing the crime, Sufyan Ali managed to evade authorities and escape abroad. However, the Special Operation Cell of Punjab Police, Gujranwala, issued a Red Notice for his arrest through Interpol, which ultimately led to his apprehension.

Upon being captured, the accused was promptly extradited back to Pakistan with the assistance of Saudi law enforcement. The police team intercepted Sufyan Ali at the airport, making him the 40th proclaimed offender apprehended from foreign countries this year. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar praised the efforts of RPO Gujranwala and the police team for capturing the dangerous criminal and stressed the importance of expediting legal proceedings to ensure justice prevails.

This case serves as a reminder of the importance of international cooperation in combating crime and delivering justice for victims.
