The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi recently organized a significant event to introduce Junaid Ahmad’s latest book, '1971 Ethnic Cleansing of Biharis in East Pakistan.' The book launch took place at Auditorium 1 and was attended by esteemed figures in the literary and academic community.

The event was graced by Mahmood Shaam, who presided over the gathering. He praised Dr. Junaid Ahmad for his meticulous research and dedication to challenging established narratives. Ibn-ul-Hasan Rizvi delved into the structure of the book, highlighting its seven chapters and the revelations it makes about the ethnic cleansing of Biharis and non-Bengalis during the 1971 conflict. Rizvi underscored the documentation of atrocities committed by Indian-trained militants and occupying forces. Professor Birjees Haroon praised Junaid Ahmad for his courage in addressing a sensitive topic often avoided by historians, noting the book's comprehensive coverage of Bihari education and literature.
