The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi postpones exams to address logistical challenges and ensure fairness in the examination process. Rescheduled dates and exam centers announced.

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced a four-day postponement of the upcoming exams. Originally scheduled to start on May 28, the exams will now begin on June 1. This decision was made due to logistical constraints faced by the board, as stated by BIEK Chairman Prof Nasim Ahmed Memon.

Chairman Memon explained that the board has sought permission to extend the exam dates and has identified 21 higher secondary schools as exam centers. The intermediate exams will be conducted in the morning, while the matric exams will be held in the evening.

The delay in the matric exams was attributed to the prevailing hot weather conditions. The rescheduled papers will now be administered starting from May 28 at the same designated centers. Chairman Memon highlighted the difficulty of managing both matric and intermediate exams simultaneously at the same centers.

Furthermore, a meeting has been convened by Provincial Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahoo. The meeting will involve discussions with the chairmen of both boards to address the logistical challenges surrounding the exam schedule.

The decision to postpone the exams by the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi reflects their commitment to ensuring a smooth and fair examination process for all students. By rescheduling the exams and addressing logistical issues, the board aims to provide a conducive environment for students to perform their best during this crucial period.
