Recently, Swat district faced devastating consequences due to heavy rains, resulting in the loss of innocent lives, particularly children. The calamities struck various areas, leaving families shattered and communities in mourning.

In Pishtunai area of Matta Tehsil, a landslide caused a house to collapse, trapping two young cousins, Majeedullah (12) and Asmatullah (15), under the debris. Despite rescue efforts, the boys succumbed to their injuries at Matta Hospital. Meanwhile, in Kasoona Forest of Miandam Valley, Noor Muhammad's sons, Ashfaq (7) and Rafaaq (14), encountered a tragic fate when lightning struck them, leading to Ashfaq's untimely demise.

Further adding to the sorrow, a landslide in Shaldara area of Manglawar buried Akbarzada's sons, Waqas (16) and Junaid (14), inside their home. In a separate incident in Akhtarabad, Mingora, eight-year-old Hashar, visiting his grandfather, tragically fell into an overflowing drain and was swept away by the current, with his lifeless body found the following day in Swat River near Landakay.
