FESCO intensifies efforts to combat power theft in Sargodha Circle, apprehending offenders and ensuring fair electricity distribution.

In a recent development, the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO), Sargodha Circle, has intensified its efforts to combat power theft in the region. According to a FESCO spokesman, the company's teams conducted raids in various areas of the circle and apprehended 40 individuals involved in power pilferage. Additionally, 57 cases have been registered against offenders.

One notable incident involved the apprehension of a barber in Sargodha City who was caught red-handed stealing electricity by tampering with meters and tapping into main electricity lines. This highlights the diverse methods employed by individuals to engage in illegal electricity consumption.

The crackdown also targeted consumers in the Shahpur area, where three individuals were booked in a single day for electricity theft. Furthermore, five power pilferers were arrested as part of the ongoing operation.

The proactive measures taken by FESCO in combating power theft demonstrate the company's commitment to ensuring fair and lawful distribution of electricity in the Sargodha Circle.
