Two suspects linked to the banned terrorist group BLA arrested for the murder of Punjabi labourers in a Gwadar barbershop. Home Minister Langau praises law enforcement efforts and vows to combat terrorism while addressing cross-border security challenges to safeguard national sovereignty.

Two individuals have been apprehended in connection with the tragic incident involving the murder of barbershop workers in Gwadar, Balochistan. The suspects, reportedly affiliated with the banned terrorist group Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), were arrested following the killing of seven labourers from Punjab at a barbershop in Gwadar.

Home Minister Zia Ullah Langau commended the efforts of law enforcement agencies in swiftly capturing the perpetrators. According to Langau, the suspects confessed to receiving orders to target Punjabi labourers. Firearms and other weapons were confiscated from the arrested individuals.

Expressing concern over the loss of numerous lives to terrorism, Langau emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring the safety of its citizens. He condemned the targeting of innocent civilians in militant attacks aimed at destabilizing the peace in the region.

Langau also highlighted the government's determination to address cross-border security challenges, particularly with Iran. The authorities are engaged in discussions with the Iranian government to address issues related to border security without compromising national sovereignty.

The Balochistan Counter Terrorism Department disclosed that the arrested suspects were affiliated with BLA and were taken into custody in Gwadar. The victims of the attack hailed from districts Khanewal and Mian Chunnu in Punjab.

Following the incident, the home minister ordered a thorough investigation into what he described as an act of terrorism.
