Two officials of the Sindh Food Authority were arrested for allegedly soliciting a bribe from a milk vendor, highlighting the importance of integrity and combating corruption within regulatory bodies.

Two officials of the Sindh Food Authority (SFA) found themselves in hot water as they were apprehended by a team from the Sindh Anti Corruption Establishment on Tuesday. The arrests stemmed from accusations of soliciting an Rs 80,000 bribe from a milk vendor, marking a serious breach of ethical conduct.

The accused individuals, identified as Ranu Mal and Shahzad Gopang, were taken into custody at the SFA's office premises. Following the apprehension, they were formally named in a First Information Report (FIR) based on the complaint lodged by the state.
