Thirteen brick kilns in Faisalabad sealed for using outdated techniques, violating environmental rules, and fined Rs 1.3 million. This action aims to curb air pollution, promote sustainability, and protect community health.
Thirteen brick kilns in Faisalabad were recently sealed by the environment protection agency for operating using outdated techniques, in violation of the Punjab Environmental Protection (Smog Prevention and Control) rules-2023. The owners of these brick kilns were also fined a total of Rs 1.3 million for their non-compliance.
The brick kilns that were sealed were located near various areas including Chak No 74-RB, Chak No 6-JB, Narrwala bunglow, Chak No 51-JB Sajjadan, Chak No 59-JB, Chak No 200-RB Lathianwala, Chak No 52-JB Mullanpur, Chak No 71-JB, and Chak No 210 RB Makuana bypass.
This action was taken as part of efforts to curb air pollution and promote environmental sustainability in the region. By enforcing these regulations, authorities aim to protect the health and well-being of the local community and mitigate the impact of harmful emissions on the environment.
