Fazal Elahi Leads Protest Against Prolonged Power Outages

Residents of Peshawar recently took to the streets to voice their frustration over the persistent power outages plaguing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the capital city bearing the brunt of the issue. Led by Member Provincial Assembly Fazal Elahi, the protest led to the blockage of a section of the ring road, drawing attention to the dire situation.

Addressing the gathered crowd, Elahi shed light on the widespread problem of load shedding in the region. Areas like Shahi Bagh Grid Stadium, Charsadda Road, and Lala Zar Colony have been enduring power cuts lasting up to 16 hours daily, despite residents like Paras Ahmad diligently paying their electricity bills. The absence of a reliable power supply has significantly disrupted the daily routines of those residing in these localities.

Adding to the chorus of complaints, a citizen residing near Khazana Sugar Mill reported even lengthier power cuts ranging from 16 to 18 hours each day. The lack of responsiveness from the authorities has left residents exasperated, as they struggle to meet work deadlines and fulfill customer orders due to the erratic electricity provision.

The protest in Peshawar serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by residents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to prolonged power outages.
