Minister for Health Khyber Pakhtunkhwa inaugurates LRH Operation Theaters Complex, pledges support for Nursing and Medical Colleges, and announces plans to increase ICU beds.

The Minister for Health Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, recently inaugurated the new Operation Theaters Complex at Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar. The event was attended by prominent figures including Chairman of the board of Governors, Professor Mohammad Zabir Khan, and Hospital Director Dr. Mohammad Abrar Khan Khattak, among others.

During the inauguration, Minister Syed Qasim Ali Shah was briefed by Hospital Director Dr. Mohammad Abrar Khan about the hospital's operations, budget, health facility cards, mass emergencies, and financial challenges. Professor Mohammad Zabir Khan highlighted the upcoming establishment of Nursing College and Medical College within LRH, with the Health Minister pledging budgetary support for these initiatives.

Furthermore, Minister Syed Qasim Ali Shah announced plans to increase the number of ICU beds at LRH to 100, emphasizing the government's commitment to enhancing healthcare facilities. The visit concluded with the Minister planting a sapling outside the Medical Surgery department, symbolizing growth and sustainability, while the hospital administration expressed gratitude by presenting a shield to the esteemed guest.
