Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government's Development Program for 2024-25

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, has recently completed the draft of the Annual Development Program (ADP) for the fiscal year 2024-25. The primary focus of this program is to prioritize public welfare over political interests, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently within specified timelines.

One of the key objectives of the ADP is to improve public service delivery in remote areas, including the merged districts. The development budget places a strong emphasis on green energy initiatives to address the energy crisis. This includes plans to solarize public offices and educational institutions, optimize hydro power resources, and establish province-owned transmission lines and grid stations.

The government is committed to generating employment opportunities for the youth, stimulating industrial growth, and attracting investments in key sectors. To encourage investment, industrial units will benefit from locally produced electricity at competitive rates. Priority areas such as law and order, education, health, and food security will receive special attention, with strategies in place to strengthen the police force, achieve agricultural self-sufficiency through dam construction, and promote modern farming practices.

Efforts will also be directed towards efficient management of public assets through an assets management system and the establishment of a Minerals Development and Management Company to harness mineral resources. Recognizing the importance of increasing forest cover to combat climate change, the government plans to implement scientific forest management practices and undertake large-scale plantation drives. Additionally, strategic planning will be employed to ensure a balance between population growth and available resources.

Furthermore, the government aims to enhance the justice system to provide timely and affordable justice to all citizens. Plans are underway to strengthen the system and increase the number of judges to expedite pending cases, ensuring a more efficient judicial process.
