The Lahore High Court, under the supervision of Justice Amjad Rafiq, has issued a directive to the police to find and secure the release of Ghulam Shabbir, the brother of Dr. Shahbaz Gill. The court session, attended by Punjab Home Secretary Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, and other officials, focused on the ongoing efforts to locate Ghulam Shabbir. The government's legal representative informed the court that geo-fencing data, collected in compliance with the court's instructions, is currently under analysis.

During the proceedings, Justice Amjad Rafiq inquired about the identification of agency numbers from the analysis. Punjab Home Secretary clarified that while numbers are visible for WhatsApp calls, they are not available for regular calls. Despite intensive efforts, DIG Operations reported that Ghulam Shabbir has not yet been located.

Expressing concern for the situation, Justice Rafiq acknowledged the challenges faced by the officials but remained hopeful for the safe return of the missing individual. The petitioner's lawyer emphasized that Ghulam Shabbir was taken into custody while en route to Islamabad and is currently in a precarious position. Urging prompt action, the court instructed the police to ensure the recovery of Dr. Shahbaz Gill's brother and postponed further hearings until July 18.
