Mohammad Sadiq's Plea for Educational Support for 52 Children

In central Uruzgan province, Mohammad Sadiq, a 57-year-old man, finds himself responsible for a remarkable family of 52 children from four wives. Residing in a modest three-room rented house in Khairo Karez area of Tirinkot City, Sadiq's family comprises 28 sons and 24 daughters, with a total of 61 children including the deceased. Despite the joy of having a large family, economic hardships have made it challenging for Sadiq to provide for his children.

The family's living conditions took a turn for the worse when one of the rooms collapsed during heavy rainfall, adding to their struggles. Among Sadiq's children, Habibullah, a 14-year-old son, works in a showroom earning 1,500 afs monthly while dreaming of attending school. Similarly, Bibi Warsa, Sadiq's 10-year-old daughter, dreams of becoming a doctor but is currently unable to pursue education. Neighbors of Mohammad Sadiq have acknowledged his financial struggles and often provide assistance, urging the government and donor agencies to extend support to the family.
