Pakistan and Iran have agreed to combat terrorism through joint measures, including banning terrorist organizations, waiving fines for imprisoned nationals, and enhancing border management cooperation. The two nations also aim to strengthen bilateral relations and support oppressed Muslims.

Pakistan and Iran have reached a significant agreement to combat terrorism by deciding to ban terrorist organizations within their borders. This decision was made during a meeting between Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Iranian Interior Minister Dr. Ahmad Vahidi, and Iranian Law Minister Amin Hussain Rahimi. The two countries have agreed to work together on a joint plan of action to address the common issue of terrorism, focusing on enhancing mutual support and sharing intelligence.

Furthermore, both nations have agreed to sign a security agreement promptly and ensure the provision of necessary facilities to Pakistani pilgrims during Arba’een. The Iranian Interior Minister has invited his Pakistani counterpart to visit Iran, along with the Iraqi Interior Minister. They emphasized the importance of joint efforts in providing optimal facilities for pilgrims.

In addition to addressing terrorism, Pakistan and Iran have decided to waive fines for their respective nationals imprisoned in each other's countries. Minister Naqvi expressed the desire for the swift repatriation of Pakistani prisoners in Iran. Both countries have also pledged to enhance cooperation in border management to combat smuggling and drug trafficking, which have been causing economic losses.

Minister Naqvi highlighted the significance of strengthening fraternal relations between Pakistan and Iran, emphasizing the need for Islamic countries to unite in supporting oppressed Muslims, particularly in Gaza. He appreciated Iran's support for Pakistan's stance on the Kashmir issue and acknowledged the importance of the Iranian President's recent visit to Pakistan in enhancing bilateral relations.

The Iranian ministers expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to them during their visit to Pakistan. They commended Pakistan's efforts in border fencing and emphasized the deep historical, cultural, and religious ties between the two nations.
