Pakistan's Defence Minister announces the extension of Operation Azm-e-Istehkam to target terrorist hideouts beyond borders, emphasizing transparency, and rejecting negotiations with banned groups for national security and stability.

The Defence Minister of Pakistan, Khawaja Asif, has announced the possibility of extending Operation Azm-e-Istehkam to target terrorist hideouts beyond the country's borders. This operation, aimed at combating terrorism, has been carefully planned despite challenges posed by political interests. Asif emphasized the government's commitment to transparency and accountability in executing this crucial mission.

Asif firmly rejected the idea of negotiating with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), citing the ineffectiveness of past dialogues with such groups. He highlighted the importance of decisive action against terrorist organizations to ensure national security and stability.

Criticizing previous civilian governments for their shortcomings in post-operation phases, Asif stressed the need for cooperation among all political factions to guarantee the success of Operation Azm-e-Istehkam. This strategy, approved by the cabinet, aims to address economic challenges and eliminate terrorist sanctuaries across the border.

Operation Azm-e-Istehkam is crucial for safeguarding Pakistan's sovereignty, as terrorist activities originating from neighboring countries pose a significant threat. Asif also expressed concerns about sleeper cell members contributing to unrest in Pakistan, highlighting the necessity of a unified approach involving all political parties to combat terrorism effectively.

The decision to extend Operation Azm-e-Istehkam reflects Pakistan's firm stance against terrorism and its commitment to national security. By targeting terrorist hideouts beyond borders and emphasizing cooperation among political factions, the government aims to address security threats and ensure a safer future for the country.
