The Foreign Office of Pakistan has raised concerns over recent provocative statements made by Indian leaders regarding Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). The Indian Defence Minister and Foreign Minister have both asserted claims over the region, sparking tensions between the two countries. Pakistan has rejected these claims, emphasizing that AJK remains a disputed territory recognized internationally. The United Nations Security Council resolutions outline that the final status of Jammu and Kashmir should be determined by the will of the people through a plebiscite under UN auspices.

In response to US concerns about the Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline project, Pakistan reiterated its commitment to maintaining strong relationships with all countries. The Foreign Office spokesperson highlighted the importance of Pakistan's energy needs and ongoing dialogues with the US to address these requirements. Pakistan emphasized the need for peaceful cooperation with its neighbors and other nations to ensure regional stability and prosperity.

Regarding the Israeli onslaught in Gaza, Pakistan strongly condemned Israel's actions and called for an immediate ceasefire to protect civilians. The discovery of mass graves in Gaza has shocked the international community, prompting calls for a transparent investigation into war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Israeli forces. Pakistan urged the international community to take urgent measures to end the violence in Gaza, provide humanitarian assistance, and hold accountable those responsible for the atrocities.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar are set to attend the World Economic Forum Special Meeting in Riyadh, focusing on global collaboration, growth, and energy. Their participation will provide an opportunity to showcase Pakistan's priorities in global health, inclusive growth, regional collaboration, and sustainable energy practices. The bilateral meetings with world leaders aim to strengthen Pakistan's international relations and promote its interests on the global stage.
