DPO Tariq Wilayat Leads Security Meeting in Pakpattan

Authorities in Pakpattan, led by DPO Tariq Wilayat, recently held a crucial meeting to discuss security measures for the upcoming Muharramul Haram and the Urs of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Masud Ganj Shakar. The meeting, overseen by RPO Sahiwal Mahboobul Rashid and Commissioner Sahiwal Shoaib Iqbal Syed, focused on ensuring the safety of all attendees.

During the meeting, DPO Tariq Wilayat outlined the security plans, highlighting the deployment of over 3,000 personnel for Muharram. Specifically, 1400 officers and officials will be on duty to oversee Muharram processions and gatherings. For the Urs of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin, an additional 1600 police officers and officials, along with civil defense personnel, will be deployed to maintain security.

The DPO emphasized the significance of providing robust security for pilgrims attending the annual Urs of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Masud Ganj Shakar. He instructed security personnel to remain vigilant, especially towards the comfort and safety of women and elderly pilgrims. Adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) was stressed, with comprehensive security measures planned for both the Urs of Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar and Ashura.

Furthermore, the DPO underscored the importance of CCTV monitoring, aerial surveillance, and close coordination with various stakeholders to ensure a peaceful environment during sensitive gatherings and processions. He personally inspected the route from Lorry Ada Pakpattan to Darbar Baba Fariduddin, ensuring all control points were in order. Additionally, he conducted a thorough inspection of the VIP route, briefing on key locations along the way.
