Pakistan expresses regret over US veto on Palestine's UN membership. Discussions with Saudi Arabia on investment projects. Condemnation of India's restrictions in IIOJK.

Pakistan has expressed regret over the United States' decision to veto a draft resolution seeking Palestine's full membership in the United Nations (UN). The UN Security Council failed to reach a consensus on the matter, disappointing Pakistan. The resolution, which received 12 votes in favor, was blocked by the US veto. Pakistan believes it is time for Palestine to be admitted to the UN to address the historic injustice endured by Palestinians for over 75 years.

The recent visit of a Saudi delegation to Islamabad aimed to enhance cooperation in various sectors, including energy, mining, IT, and human resource development. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia discussed investment projects during the visit, with hopes of concluding negotiations soon. The Indian external affairs minister's statement on Kashmir was criticized by Pakistan, emphasizing India's responsibility to implement UN resolutions on the dispute.

Pakistan condemned Indian authorities for restricting religious events in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), including Eid ul Fitr congregation at the Srinagar Jamia Masjid. The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan's support for Kashmiris' right to self-determination in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.

In response to queries, the spokesperson clarified Pakistan's repatriation policy, stating it is limited to illegal foreigners in the country and does not include plans to repatriate Afghan Citizen Card holders.
