Pakistan Increases Urgent Passport Fees, Delays Expected

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports in Pakistan has recently implemented notable revisions in passport services, particularly in the urgent passport fee structure. For applicants requiring more pages, the expedited fee for a 72-page passport valid for five years is now set at Rs13,500. Similarly, the urgent passport fee for a 100-page passport, valid for ten years, has been increased to Rs20,200.

While the official website of the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports mentions a five-day issuance period for expedited passports, reports from regional offices suggest a longer processing time. Notices indicate a 15-day issuance period for urgent passports, with some applicants experiencing delays of over 21 days.
