On May 23, a successful joint operation conducted by the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) and the Directorate of Customs Intelligence in Karachi resulted in the interception of a boat carrying a substantial amount of drugs at sea. The operation uncovered 675 kilograms of methamphetamine, known as 'Ice,' cleverly concealed within the vessel.

The collaborative effort led to the apprehension of seven crew members aboard the boat. Following their arrest, the individuals, along with the seized drugs, were handed over to the Directorate of Customs Intelligence in Karachi for further legal proceedings. The confiscated methamphetamine holds an estimated value of approximately $37 million USD or 10 billion Pakistani rupees in the global illicit drug market.
