Pakistan Security Forces Achieve Success Against Terrorism

Security forces in Pakistan have achieved significant success in their ongoing operations against terrorism, thanks to timely intelligence and effective strategies. Following Eid-ul-Fitr, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan's (TTP) malicious intentions were uncovered and thwarted, leading to a series of successful counter-terrorism efforts. Between April 1 and June 10, 2024, a total of 7,745 operations were conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Sindh, resulting in the elimination of 181 terrorists.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,701 operations were carried out, while Balochistan witnessed 4,902 operations, and Sindh had 142 operations. Notable achievements include the neutralization of 12 terrorists in Balochistan and 42 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during May, along with the arrest of 61 terrorists in both provinces. Security forces also successfully thwarted at least 20 infiltration attempts in the border regions of Bajaur, Dir, and Chitral. Many of the apprehended terrorists were intercepted while trying to cross the borders, underscoring the effectiveness of Pakistan's intelligence and border security measures.

The proactive measures taken by the security forces have significantly disrupted the TTP's operations, particularly in urban areas where the terrorist group has been unable to carry out its nefarious plans.
