Pakistani-American family robbed on Motorway during Eid celebrations

On Sunday, June 16, a Pakistani-American family fell victim to a daring armed robbery while traveling on the Motorway near Charsadda. The family, who were in Pakistan to celebrate Eid ul Adha with relatives, were forced to stop at 2:00 am after their vehicle tire was punctured by three armed robbers. The robbers, wielding guns, stole three iPhones, Rs58,000 in cash, and two tolas of gold from the family.

Local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, with a special team led by SP Investigation Charsadda on the case. Six suspects have been apprehended for questioning, and the crime scene has been geofenced to gather more evidence.

Regional Police Officer Mardan Zahoor Babar Afridi has confirmed that details of the gangs involved in the robbery have been retrieved from police records. Despite the suspects fleeing on foot, he assured that they would be captured soon. Officer Afridi emphasized that the Pakistani-American family were guests in Pakistan, and efforts are underway to track down the culprits and ensure justice.
