Iranian President Syyed Ebrahim Raisi recently wrapped up a successful three-day official visit to Pakistan, marking his first visit to the country. During his stay, President Raisi engaged in high-level meetings with key Pakistani officials, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, among others. President Raisi also paid respects at the mausoleums of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Karachi and Allama Muhammad Iqbal in Lahore, underscoring the historical and cultural ties between Iran and Pakistan. Despite expressing a desire to address a public gathering in Pakistan, logistical constraints prevented President Raisi from doing so. However, he emphasized the deep emotional connection he felt with the Pakistani people, highlighting the enduring bond between the two nations.

The visit culminated in Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori conferring an honorary PhD degree from the University of Karachi upon President Raisi, further symbolizing the mutual respect and collaboration between the two countries.
