Prince Salman bin Sultan promotes autism-friendly city in Madinah

Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Madinah, has highlighted the importance of improving public spaces and launching initiatives to meet the needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorder. This initiative aims to enable their active involvement in the community. A significant step was taken with the official agreement between Al-Madinah Association for Autism (Tamakkon) and the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards, declaring Madinah as 'an autism-friendly city.'

Prince Salman praised Tamakkon for its dedication to expanding services and enriching educational opportunities for individuals throughout the region. During his recent visit, he toured the Prince Faisal bin Salman Autism Center, which provides a range of services such as diagnostic clinics, speech therapy, and comprehensive care units for individuals starting from early childhood.

The efforts to make Madinah an autism-friendly city are commendable, as they not only enhance the quality of life for individuals with autism but also promote inclusivity and understanding within the community.
