Karachi is in the grip of a deadly heatwave and power outages crisis, with PTI Sindh demanding action against K-Electric and urging relief efforts to prevent further loss of life.

Karachi, the bustling metropolis of Pakistan, is currently reeling from a devastating heatwave and prolonged power outages that have resulted in the tragic loss of 427 lives in just four days. The city is facing unprecedented challenges as residents struggle to cope with scorching temperatures and erratic electricity supply.

The situation has been exacerbated by the severe load-shedding lasting up to 18 to 20 hours, plunging Karachi into chaos and leaving its inhabitants in a state of distress. The lack of access to clean drinking water has further worsened the crisis, leading to a surge in fatalities and overwhelming the Edhi mortuary with a high number of bodies.

The Additional General Secretary of PTI Sindh has expressed grave concerns over the escalating death toll and has called for immediate action to address the crisis. He has demanded that Karachi be declared a load-shedding-free zone to prevent further loss of life, holding K-Electric responsible for the power outages and labeling the company as a 'killer company'.

Despite the dire circumstances, the Sindh government has faced criticism for its perceived inaction in providing relief to the citizens. The PTI official has urged the establishment of water stations and heat stroke centers across the city to alleviate the impact of the heatwave. In a bid to pressure K-Electric into ending the unannounced load-shedding, PTI has threatened to organize public protests to address the urgent needs of Karachi's residents.

The situation in Karachi remains critical as the city grapples with the devastating effects of the heatwave and power outages. Immediate action is needed to prevent further loss of life and alleviate the suffering of the residents. It is imperative for all stakeholders to work together to ensure the well-being of the people of Karachi and to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.
