The Punjab Safe Cities Authority is enhancing police communication officer training to improve public safety and communication infrastructure, aiming to provide more efficient services for a safer community.

The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has taken a significant step forward in strengthening its police communication officer team. Currently, the authority is conducting training for 42 newly selected candidates, alongside the ongoing recruitment process for additional officers. A rigorous selection process saw a total of 308 candidates undergo tests and interviews, resulting in the selection of 253 candidates based on merit, 53 women through the quota system, and two officers under the minorities quota.

The training program for the new police communication officers is being conducted at various specialized centers, including the Operations and Monitoring Centre, Electronic Data Analysis Centre, Media Management Centre, Emergency 15 Call Centre, and E-Challan System. A spokesperson for the Safe Cities Authority highlighted that the selected candidates will undergo training in different phases to ensure comprehensive skill development.

The initiative by the Punjab Safe Cities Authority to enhance the training of police communication officers reflects a commitment to improving public safety and communication infrastructure.
