Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari of PPP pledges support to PML-N for the budget, resolving differences and focusing on national welfare through collaboration and dialogue.

In a recent development, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has pledged support to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for the upcoming budget, leading to the resolution of alleged differences between the two political parties. Both sides have agreed to collaborate and address any concerns through dialogue, with the government establishing a committee to delve deeper into the issues.

During a meeting between Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, it came to light that the PPP had reservations regarding the budget process and felt sidelined by the PML-N. The PPP also expressed discontent with the PML-N administration in Punjab, highlighting challenges faced by the party in the province.

Subsequent to the meeting, a joint committee comprising representatives from both parties is set to meet to progress on the discussed matters. The PPP has raised objections to the PML-N's privatization strategy and the development budget outlined in the budget speech.

Previously, the PPP had agreed to support the government in the spirit of national unity, but certain agreed-upon terms, such as the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP), were reportedly not fulfilled by the PML-N. The Prime Minister stressed the significance of unity among political parties for the advancement and welfare of the nation.

Key figures from both the PPP and PML-N participated in the meeting, focusing on providing relief to the public through the budget for the upcoming fiscal year. While the PPP remains a major ally of the PML-N, it has chosen not to join the federal cabinet but holds significant constitutional positions.

Despite initial disagreements and a brief boycott of the budget session, both parties are now dedicated to resolving issues and collaborating for the betterment of the country.

The assurance of support from Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari to the PML-N marks a significant step towards political harmony and cooperation in Pakistan. By addressing concerns and committing to dialogue, the two parties aim to work together for the welfare and progress of the nation, setting a positive example of bipartisan collaboration.
