CAMEA Conference on Pakistan's Geopolitical Landscape

The Centre for Afghanistan, Middle East & Africa (CAMEA) at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) recently organized an International Conference focusing on 'Pakistan in the Emerging Geopolitical Landscape.' The event shed light on the evolving global dynamics and their implications for Pakistan's foreign policy and security strategies.

The conference highlighted the significant impacts of global transformations on Pakistan, especially in the aftermath of the developments in Afghanistan post-August 2021. Ambassador Asif Durrani, Pakistan’s Special Representative on Afghanistan, underlined the challenges and conflicts in Pakistan's neighborhood, emphasizing the country's unique geopolitical and geo-economic position in Central Asia and the Middle East. The discussions also touched upon Pakistan's relations with India, Afghanistan, the Middle East, and China, stressing the importance of a stable regional policy amidst complex regional dynamics.
