District Election Commissioner Leads Efforts for Transgender Voter Registration

Transgender women in Hyderabad are set to benefit from a recent meeting held by District Election Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad, Muhammad Yusuf Majidano. The focus of the meeting was on ensuring the registration of transgender women's votes, recognizing their importance as members of society. The DEO emphasized the government's efforts towards the welfare of eunuchs and highlighted the need for their full participation in the electoral process.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that transgender individuals should not face any obstacles in obtaining their identity cards from NADRA to facilitate their voter registration. Kashif, a councilor from Nawabshah, was called upon to assist in the registration process of transgender women in the district, underscoring the importance of ensuring their rights are upheld.

Various stakeholders, including social welfare officials, NADRA representatives, and other relevant departments, shared their insights on the registration process. Focal Person Tariq Hussain and Election Commission member Masroor Memon were also present to contribute to the discussions.
