The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) faces internal conflicts as Imran Khan addresses party turmoil, with key members advised to refrain from criticizing leadership.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), a prominent political party in Pakistan, is currently grappling with internal conflicts that have come to the forefront in recent weeks. The party, founded by Imran Khan, is experiencing tensions within its ranks, leading to public disagreements among key members.

Recently, former PTI member Fawad Chauhdry was advised by party leaders to refrain from criticizing the PTI leadership during this period of internal discord. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stressed the importance of resolving misunderstandings and urged Chauhdry to avoid speaking against the party leadership. Senior party leader Asad Qasier also confirmed that all former leaders have been instructed to maintain silence and refrain from criticizing the PTI leadership temporarily.

Imran Khan, acknowledging the internal rifts within the party, is set to meet with different factions in Adiala jail to address the issues at hand. Despite reports of a potential forward bloc within the party, Khan emphasized the need for unity among party members. However, public criticisms among PTI leaders continue to surface, indicating ongoing internal turmoil.

In a significant development, 27 PTI-backed lawmakers considered resigning from the National Assembly in June due to dissatisfaction with the party leadership. Additionally, Secretary-General Omar Ayub's resignation from his position to focus on his role as National Assembly Opposition Leader was met with opposition from the PTI's core committee and parliamentary party.

Regarding Fawad Chauhdry's outspoken criticism of the PTI leadership, Imran Khan chose not to comment on the matter. Chauhdry has been vocal about the alleged hindrance by the leadership in securing the release of jailed PTI members. The party's Information Secretary Raoof Hasan clarified that Chauhdry was expelled from PTI for joining another party and should refrain from commenting on PTI matters. Hasan also addressed the negative narrative against PTI leadership on social media, emphasizing the party's stance on not welcoming back those who have left.

The internal conflicts within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf highlight the challenges faced by the party in maintaining unity and cohesion among its members. As the leadership works towards resolving differences and addressing grievances, the future direction of PTI remains uncertain. The coming days will be crucial in determining how the party navigates through these internal challenges and emerges stronger as a political force in Pakistan.
