The Election Commission KP prepares for upcoming by-elections with enhanced security measures and 33 candidates vying for tehsil council seats.

The Election Commission Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has established the Election Monitoring and Control Center for the upcoming by-elections scheduled to be held on April 28. These by-elections will fill vacant seats in various local bodies across different regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The by-elections will be conducted in the following areas: Tehsil Council Darosh Chitral, Tangi Charsadda, Daraban DI Khan, Katlang Mardan, Dasu Kohistan, and Blambat Lower Dir. A total of 33 candidates will be contesting in these tehsil council by-elections, with 783,772 eligible voters expected to participate in the electoral process.

To facilitate the voting process, 568 polling stations, along with 1,720 polling booths, have been set up. Additionally, 233 polling stations have been identified as highly sensitive, prompting the implementation of enhanced security measures to ensure a smooth and secure voting experience for all voters.

Polling is scheduled to commence at 8:00 am on Sunday and will continue until 5:00 pm without any interruptions. The polling staff has been deployed to their respective stations after receiving all necessary election materials, including ballot papers. In case of any emergencies or queries, individuals can contact the designated telephone numbers 0919213214 and 0919213215 for assistance.

With preparations in place and security measures heightened, the stage is set for the upcoming by-elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As voters gear up to exercise their democratic right, all eyes will be on the polling stations to witness the outcome of this electoral process.
