The Election Commission of Pakistan is set to address PTI's failure to conduct intra-party elections, emphasizing the importance of upholding democratic principles within political parties.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has scheduled a hearing for Tuesday to address the issue of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) failing to conduct intra-party elections. This development comes as the ECP has expressed concerns over PTI's recent intra-party elections.

According to the cause list, notices have been issued to PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Chief Federal Election Commissioner of PTI, Rauf Hassan. A five-member bench of the Election Commission is set to convene at 10 am on Tuesday to deliberate on the matter.

The ECP's decision to hold a hearing underscores the importance of adhering to electoral processes and upholding democratic principles within political parties. Intra-party elections play a crucial role in ensuring transparency and accountability, and any lapses in conducting these elections can raise questions about the party's commitment to internal democracy.
