Peshawar prepares for by-elections to fill vacant seats in national and provincial assemblies. Election Commission of Pakistan finalizes arrangements for smooth polling with 49 candidates vying for votes.

Peshawar is gearing up for by-elections scheduled to be held on April 21 to fill vacant seats in the national and provincial assemblies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has finalized all arrangements for the by-elections. The ECP issued a notification announcing that the by-elections for the national assembly constituencies NA-08 Bajaur and NA-44 Dera Ismail Khan, as well as the provincial assembly constituencies PK-22 Bajaur and PK-91 Kohat, will take place.

The polling is set to run smoothly from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm without any interruptions. The election campaign will conclude the night before the by-elections. A total of 49 candidates will be competing for these seats, with over 1,471,000 eligible voters expected to exercise their right to vote.

Additionally, Badar Shehbaz has been appointed as the media coordinator for Shehbaz Sharif's campaign.
