Election tribunal issues notices over alleged rigging in Narowal elections, challenging victories of Ahsan Iqbal and Anwarul Haq Chaudhry. Petitioners demand fresh polls due to irregularities and absence of ECP forms.

An election tribunal has issued notices to the Election Commission of Pakistan regarding three petitions challenging the victory of Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal in NA-76, Narowal. Ahsan Iqbal secured 136,279 votes, defeating PTI-backed independent candidate Javaid Safdar Kahlon, who received 109,309 votes. The petitioners have alleged significant rigging and irregularities during the polling day, citing the absence of forms 45 and 46 issued by the ECP.

Another petition was filed by PTI-backed independent candidates Dr. Tahir Ali Javed and Danyal Aziz, contesting the election of Anwarul Haq Chaudhry in NA-75 of Narowal. MNA Anwarul Haq emerged victorious with 99,625 votes, while Dr. Tahir Ali Javed received 75,626 votes and Danyal Aziz secured 50,984 votes. The losing candidates have accused the PML-N candidate of rigging and highlighted the absence of form 45 for their polling agents.

The petitioners have urged the tribunal to invalidate the election results and conduct a fresh poll in the constituency to ensure fairness and transparency in the electoral process.
