The Election Commission in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa warns against illegal campaigning as by-elections approach. With 1.471 million voters and heightened security measures, preparations are in place for a smooth electoral process.

The Election Commission has announced the conclusion of election campaigns for candidates in four constituencies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with a stern warning against further campaigning to avoid legal repercussions. The constituencies of NA-8 Bajaur, NA-44 DI Khan, PK-22 Bajaur, and PK-91 Kohat are set for by-elections on April 21, with a total of 49 candidates vying for victory.

On the day of the elections, polling will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. across 892 designated polling stations in the four constituencies. The Election Commission has reported a voter count of 1.471 million in these areas, comprising 799,739 male voters and 672,216 female voters. Notably, 139 polling stations have been identified as highly sensitive, prompting the implementation of heightened security measures to ensure a smooth electoral process.

To address any public concerns or complaints during the elections, a dedicated control room has been established at the office of the Provincial Election Commissioner in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. With the stage set for the by-elections, all eyes are on the candidates and voters as they prepare to exercise their democratic rights in these crucial constituencies.
