The High Court Bar Association (HCBA) Dera recently held its elections for the term 2024-25, resulting in the victory of Hidayat Ullah Malana as the President for the fourth consecutive term. The unofficial results revealed a significant win for the group led by Sardar Hashmat ur Rehman and Sardar Qaizar Khan Miankhel, with Malana securing 299 votes against his opponent Noor Gul Marwat's 117 votes.

In the race for the general secretary position, Mutti Ullah Rind emerged victorious with 272 votes, defeating Chaudhry Javed Akhtar of the Insaf Lawyers Forum who received 142 votes.
