Imran Khan, the incarcerated PTI chairman, urges CJP to address key issues threatening rule of law in Pakistan, emphasizing the judiciary's role in upholding justice and accountability.

Imran Khan, the incarcerated founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has written a letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa, highlighting seven key issues that he believes require urgent intervention to uphold the rule of law and the supremacy of the Constitution in the country.

In the letter, Khan urged the CJP to address various matters, including the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) clearing ex-PM Nawaz Sharif in the Toshakhana case, the Bahawalnagar incident exposing vigilante justice, complaints of blackmail and coercion by judges of the Islamabad High Court, and the need for an independent inquiry into the May 9 violence.

He also raised concerns about the alleged manipulation of election results on February 8 and the allocation of reserved seats in national and provincial assemblies. Khan emphasized the importance of judicial intervention to prevent the erosion of justice and the rule of law in Pakistan.

Through his letter, Khan underscored the critical role of the judiciary in safeguarding the rights of citizens and ensuring accountability across all branches of the state. He warned that failure to address these issues promptly could have dire consequences for the country's democratic order.
