The Punjab government's initiatives led by JahanAra Wattoo focus on empowering women through education and healthcare programs, benefiting vulnerable populations and promoting societal development.

The Punjab government is placing a strong emphasis on improving the health and education of women, particularly those from low-income families. Various programs under the Punjab Social Protection Authority, such as the Bunyad Program, Aghosh Program, Punjab Human Capital Investment Program, Khud Mukhtiar Program, and Zewar-e-Taleem Program, are providing much-needed relief to vulnerable populations.

Vice Chairperson of the Punjab Social Protection Authority, JahanAra Wattoo, highlighted these initiatives during a recent visit to educational and healthcare facilities in Thatta Qureshi, Muzaffargarh. She mentioned that over 643,000 individuals have been registered across 13 districts, with more than Rs 2 billion already distributed through the Bunyad program. Additionally, early childhood classes have been introduced in 4300 schools, benefiting over 960,000 female students who receive Rs 1,000 per month for maintaining 80% attendance in classes 6 to 9.

The distribution of scholarships aims to boost female education rates, empowering women to contribute significantly to societal development. All projects have been executed transparently and based on merit, ensuring that deserving families and individuals benefit the most from these government initiatives.
