Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif introduces the nation's first virtual women police station, 'Meri Awaz…Maryam Nawaz,' to enhance women's safety and streamline law enforcement processes. The station, connected to Punjab Safe Cities Authority, offers comprehensive support through various channels and emphasizes privacy and confidentiality for women reporting crimes. The initiative includes the deployment of IT graduate women police communication officers and the installation of emergency panic buttons across Lahore. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has unveiled the nation's inaugural virtual women police station, aiming to provide comprehensive support to women facing crimes. Named 'Meri Awaz…Maryam Nawaz,' the station will be connected to the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA), streamlining the process from filing FIRs to investigation and trial.

Through various channels like the 15 Call, Women Safety App, live chat, video calls, Punjab Police App, and Safe City web portal, women can seek assistance without the need to physically visit a police station. The virtual station ensures privacy and confidentiality for women reporting issues, including harassment.

Moreover, the initiative includes the deployment of IT graduate women police communication officers to aid complainants. Additionally, the installation of 100 modern emergency panic buttons across Lahore will enable immediate connections to the 15 emergency hotline in case of danger.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized the importance of these technological advancements in ensuring women's safety and swift resolution of complaints. She also launched the 'CM Maryam Nawaz Free Wi-Fi' service at over 50 locations in Lahore, further enhancing connectivity and accessibility.

The inauguration event was attended by senior officials, including Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and Inspector General of Police, highlighting the government's commitment to leveraging technology for public welfare.
